Prank War update... Friday-Saturday (February 20-21) we got the boys back. The first thing you have to know is that we left our apartment at 2:30 in the morning to do all of this. Heather Jean and I stayed up late preparing for it and then took a nap while Eva was working on some stuff and then she woke us up to go. It was a two fold prank. First we got their cars. We intended to get all of their cars with some pretty creative ideas but Jordan was home for the weekend and we didn't know what Dave's looked like and we couldn't find Patrick and Austin's so we only got Jeff and Matt's cars. Jeff's was covered in hearts and ribbon to look like a just married car. It was pretty cute if I do say so myself. For Matt's we just put strips of words on his bumper. He parks backwards so he wouldn't notice at first and part of it said "honk to congratulate" so we were hoping he'd get honked at before he noticed. Here are the picture of the cars.

The other part of the prank took us a while to prepare. Heather Jean and I popped popcorn for hours and hours. We saran wrapped their door and filled it with newspaper and popcorn. It was pretty awesome. I was so scared they were going to wake up. The pouring popcorn was SO loud. Here are pictures and a video.

But all was well and Patrick opened the door the next morning to a nice surprise. They thanked us for breakfast and we hung out with them later. I'm probably not supposed to say this about the enemy but I love those boys. So now it has been about a week and a half and so far we haven't had anything come back to us yet. I think after a certain point we get to be declared the winners. J33>J17!!!!

I never mentioned that I got a haircut! About a month ago now. I just woke up one day and decided that I wanted something different and so I got in touch with a friend who is in hair school at Paul Mitchell down the street and asked her for an appointment. The next day I went in and cut off 4 inches. I haven't had hair this short since like 7th grade. But I love it. It is easier to do and is healthier and is just fun. My roommates didn't even notice though. I'm going to say that is a good thing - they must love me for more than surface beauty. :) Anyways, it was a tiny bit traumatic for a few minutes but after that I realized how much I loved it! So now I have short curly hair that won't pick a color and it makes me happy.

O chem is probably going to kick my butt. Why? I quote my professor (who was standing at the board working on a problem) "I really have no idea what I am doing." Ha. Just great. If he has no idea what he is doing how in the world am I going to figure it out? GAH!

However, I had the happiest experience of my college career up to now. (Okay, that is a lie. It wasn't the happiest. But I was pretty darn happy!) Last Wednesday I had to take my History 202 midterm and I was NOT ready. There was so much information and I was freaking out about how I was going to fail it (Ask Jord.) I studied as long as possible and then just went in and took it. Half of it was written and half was multiple choice. When I came down the stairs to look at my score it took a minute to show up. I was looking at the screen and it showed a 100%. I thought... wow that is happy for somebod...WAIT. WAIT. That somebody is ME. Next to my ID number was a 100% and a note that said PERFECT SCORE. This has never happened before and I literally jumped for joy! Granted, the other half still has to be scored but even then I think I did pretty well. HOORAY! Somebody was definetly praying for me.

I got to spend the weekend at home and it was bliss. I took a nutrition test Friday morning(93%!) and then jumped into my car. I picked up two of Megan's friends along the way -Hillary in Ogden and Keshia in Twin Falls. We went straight to the high school and watched my sister star in CHS's production of Guys and Dolls. Megan had a lead role as Miss Adelaide, a singer with a chronic cold who has been engaged for 14 years to Nathan Detroit who runs a crap game. She was fabulous. Absolutely amazing. She has always been a fantastic actress but her vocie has come so far lately. She just blew me away. I am so proud to have her as my sister. I really was so impressed by the whole show. It was really one of the best productions I have seen or been in. The new choir director did a very good job. There were a few things I would've changed or missed but really... SO GOOD. It was so fun to see so much talent up on that stage. I loved it. Congratulations to all those who participated and supported. GREAT show. It was interesting being home though. I ran into some people who I hadn't seen for a long time and they nearly didn't recognize me. It was a "Rachel?!?" "Hi!!" "You look amazing!" conversation. Interesting. I have lost a lot of weight since graduation plus I am so happy and it shows but I didn't think it was that noticeable. I guess it is hard because I see myself everyday so I don't notice the differences. Anyways, Home was AMAZING. SO good to be with family. Sleeping in, talking, just relaxing. Ah, so great. I cannot wait to go home for the summer and just be home. The weekend was too short. Before I knew it I was running to Sacrament meeting (which was so great - the Cowling boys are growing up so fast - Jed talking about the reality of the Holy Ghose and how much bigger it is than just one singular feeling and Eli coming up and saying "Well I'm 8 now.") and then we were driving home. Ha. Interesting. I started this saying that I went "home" for the weekend and now I just said that I drove "home". Interesting that my definition of home has changed so much. It has to do with where I am living but much more than that it is a place where I am safe and loved and where the Spirit is. I am glad I have two homes. It makes being away from either one much easier.

Lyss and Eva and I watched A Beautiful Mind on Monday. It was really really good. I highly recommend it. I won't talk about it because I want you to watch it. But so good. So much to think about because of it.

It has been so warm this week. Yesterday was the most BEAUTIFUL day. SUNSHINE everywhere. Which just makes me unbelievably happy!!!!! Eva even got a touch of a burn. I cannot wait for Spring!!!!!!!!!!

I started my London prep class on Monday. SO exciting. 51 days. Wow.
