Dear Brain,

If I sleep on top of my notebook will you learn the things in it? Please, please try.

Snow

Honestly, I dislike snow. Now, it isn't like me to complain about things. At all. I typically find the best in everything and when I find that I can't help but appreciate it. But this is not the case with snow. I dread it. It is messy, wet and makes life very difficult. Walking to school in snow is miserable. You have to wear boots that do NOT match your outfit no matter how hard you try. Your pant legs get wet now matter how high you roll them. You look like a giant marshmallow no matter that your coat is super cute. You slip and fall on the hill or the stairs or in the middle of campus no matter how carefully you walk. And even worse than walking in snow is driving in snow. I grew up in Idaho... so I've had a bit of experience and am actually pretty good at driving in the snow but it is still stressful and scary. Every corner is a chance to drift. Every stop sign is a chance to slide. And worst is getting in and out of the parking garage because if it's not taken care of the hill in and out is a slippery mess. Now, I won't lie... right now sitting on my couch curled up in a blanket the snow is BEAUTIFUL. It makes everything clean and pretty. The mountains are breathtaking when they are covered in a fresh layer (especially Timp... that mountain makes winter here so much happier). The fact that it makes the world so pretty and bright is definitely a positive. But the reality is that when I have things to do the snow makes them very inconvenient and I truly dislike it.

P.S. I know... I know... I still haven't written any real stories since finals. I promise my life isn't THAT boring. In fact it's pretty busy... hence no update. But soon. Saturday or Sunday, cross my heart. (but not hope to die... because if I say that you just know something will come up and I won't do it).

Brief update

Mom emailed me today and told me I needed to update my blog. She's right, of course. But I unfortunately have a nutrition quiz to be studying for so this will be brief.

I made it home safe and sound.
I had a happy Christmas break with my family.
I started another semester of school.

Yep, that pretty much sums it up. :)

I promise to be better. I'll give you all a nice long post full of random and mostly pointless details just like usual very very soon.
