i basically failed at blogging for july. period. and i don't even have a really good excuse. i mean i've kept busy, there has been lots of happiness going on and my priorities have been things like people and sleep but there was nothing like a vacation without internet or a near death experience. nope. it was just life... and i just didn't blog about it.
and that means here we are on the last day of the month and i don't have a single post to remeber how amazingly wonderful and happy the month has been. and really it has been! it was fantastic. and it just FLEW by. FLEW. i can't not believe that tomorrow will be august... and that in 4 weeks everyone will be back... my summer went really fast... that's basically all i can say.
so i guess in one blog i will try to descibe july... it will definitely be missing some random happy thoughts and there is no way to get across all the things i've said and done and felt but this was such a great month that i have to try.
okay july was...
work...
of course. that is why i am here. but holy cow i am done with 8 hour days... i learned this summer that i will NEVER take a desk job... yuck... i can't do it... i am so done with it... but thank goodness all of our big projects are done... and now i can do basic photoshop and dreamweaver... though i taught myself... and i do not like spoiled professors... but i love Jordan... she is why i made it through this summer... seriously i could not have done it without her... she is just a great girl to work with... i appreciate her a lot.
trips home...
i got to go home twice this month!!!!! i went for fourth of july weekend with rachel jane and then again the 22-27 it was amazing... i haven't been home that much for a long time... i love my family so so much... and that was my priority of who i spent time with... however i did see jen some, go to girl's camp (which was WONDERFUL... i miss the youth SO much), go to the temple open house (which was INCREDIBLE... i can not wait to go through for myself) , go to the county fair and see the pigs! (which was my FAVORITE) and a concert by kellie pickler... craig got his mission call... he is going to belgium speaking french!!!! (i love his mother :D...) i got my hair cut and went to the dentist and eye doctor... i spent a lot of lazy time and some time helping my mom with the new house... i spent as much time as possible with my little sister and stocked up on as many hugs as possible... and i talked late with my daddy who i miss most of all...
a date...
i got asked on a date by an RM!!! holy cow. holy cow. holy cow. umm... it was basically fantastic. and then from there it just has been getting better. he is a really fun guy that has been great to get to know! (p.s. i really like gummy worms :D....)
an AMAZING roommate...
i love rachel jane.... she is one of the most amazing people that i have ever met and i am so lucky to have here with me this summer to live and grow with... i am so lucky... we do family scriptures and prayer every night and she just takes such good care of me... and she hasn't even gotten sick of my giddy girlyness (or if she has she hasn't said anything)... i just am so grateful to her for everything... she is just the best.
a new major???
i am thinking about changing my major... actually i am pretty sure i am changing my major... i just came to a realization that if i don't get married here at BYU and start a career I just don't think that I really want to teach... so I've spent a lot of time considering my talents and other options and i THINK what i have decided on is a major in Human Development and a minor in Nutrition with the intent to do counseling or something like that... i want to be able to help people learn the things that i have and that is where i think i am going to head...
music...
music is always a HUGE part of my life... i'm addicted... country... country... country... mmmm... i love it!!!!!
and i also got to see les mis for the first time... which was AMAZING... LOVED IT.
looking for a car...
long story short... i have to get a new car... and looking for one stinks... i want a honda accord preferably manual with about 120,000ish miles on it for about 5,000 or less... problem is that a honda with that description is not usually up for sale... so when i went looking i got patronized... yuck... so i'm still in the process of that...
happiness...
i love my life. period. i am so happy here.
